Perth wonder mum welcomes seventh child
I don't really. If you think raising one child is a big job, spare a thought for 32 year old Megan. I always wanted a big family and it just kept happening. I even said it in the birth. I can't believe we're having another baby. Baby Nahala, the newest member of the Natai clan, bringing the growing Kinross family to 9:00. Well, I've got my older boy Leon, who's not here, he's 14. And then we've got Maya, she's 8. Oziah is 3, Kendrick is 7, Noah is five, Jakari is 2 and Mahala is one week old. The baby girl arriving at King Edward Hospitals Family Birth Centre Midwife Wendy there for this delivery and the last five. She's pretty much Auntie Wendy now. Super special to have had her with us for so many births. It was made possible by the publicly funded Community Midwifery program, which provides familiar faces throughout the pregnancy journey. I think what's really important about continuity of care with a known midwife is the woman becomes the centre of the care. Key thing for us is that, you know, we wanna support women in their choice as to how they have their baby. Around 400 babies are delivered at the Family Birth Centre every year and the hospital says the personalised drug free option is becoming more popular. If you can build a relationship where a woman has a birth that empowers her, that she feels that she's in control, she then moves into motherhood as a strong woman. And I think strong women, strong families. As for this family, 7 is enough for you guys or it's enough for him. Louise Rennie 9 News.
