BBC Celebrity Masterchef line-up: From Strictly Come Dancing pro to EastEnders icon

Celebrity Masterchef is coming back to our screens this summer with a star-studded line-up from the world of showbiz, sports and the arts. The long-running BBC show will be hosted again by Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

Strictly fans will be delighted to hear that the 2023 Strictly champion Vito Coppola will be swapping sequins for the kitchen as he aims to lift the 2024 Masterchef trophy.

Joining him is former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold, Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby and TV personality Christine McGuinness.

Also battling it out will be Love Island star Chloe Burrows, TV presenter Craig Doyle and The Traitors legend Diane Carson. Radio presenter Edith Bowma and former X Factor star Jake Quickenden will also be taking up the challenge.

Completing the line-up are Steps singer Ian 'H' Watkins, actor Rochenda Sandall, Mutya Buena, Tamer Hassan, Gladiator star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and TV personality Emma Thynn.

The show will start with four Heat weeks of three episodes. Only the best of the bunch will then progress through to the later stages of the competition.

The Heat weeks will see five new celebrities each episode take on a series of culinary challenges, with the first being the classic 'Cloche' challenge where they have to create a dish from scratch.

The successful cooks will then need to take part in serving a two-course dinner party menu. Those who make it into the quarter-finals will also be met with a brand new pizza task and serving an opulent meal on a British Pullman train.

The 2023 champion of Celebrity Masterchef saw opera singer Wynne Evans beating Luca Bish and Amy Walsh to the title with his adventurous menu.

Celebrity Masterchef will return to BBC One later this summer.
