Star Clippers Now Offers Starlink Internet Across Fleet
Star Clippers' Royal Clipper in Croatia.
Star Clippers has installed Starlink infrastructure on all three of its tall sailing ships.
Travelers sailing aboard Royal Clipper, Star Flyer and Star Clipper can now take advantage of high-speed WiFi provided by SpaceX’s low Earth orbit satellite technology.
“The rollout of Starlink onboard our ships is a pivotal move in recognizing the importance of dependable connectivity while at sea,” says Mikael Krafft, owner and president of Star Clippers.
“With our authentic sailing ships often calling on remote ports and small islands, ensuring our guests and crew can remain in touch with loved ones back home—as well as enhancing our operational systems on board—is a top priority," Krafft continued.
Rates are $19 (€18) for a 1GB plan for seven days, $54 (€50) for 3GB for 14 days and $86 (€80) for 5GB for 21 days.
Star Clippers is just the latest cruise line to install Starlink infrastructure across its fleet. MSC Cruises, Seabourn, Holland America Line, Cunard, Aurora Expeditions and many others are now offering the high-speed internet service to guests.
