When are EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale on TV during the Euros 2024?

Soap fans, it’s that time of the year again when the Coronation Street, Emmerdale and EastEnders schedules are thrown about to facilitate ITV and the BBC’s broadcasts of the The UEFA European Football Championship 2024.
That’s Euro 2024 to those of you (like us) that are less football savvy. If Weatherfield County qualify – and as long as cheating Tommy Orpington hasn’t signed for the team, consider us intrigued.
It’s something which divides the fandoms, often at war with each other as to who deserves the coveted place within the schedules.
The championship takes place every four years, though the last one was held in 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The first game of the group stages kicked off last Friday, June 14th and disruption to our visits to soapland can be expected through to the final in Berlin on Sunday, July 14th.
As schedules are only published so far in advance, we only know what’s happening over the next two weeks for now. There will be a total of 51 matches overall.
Don’t worry about the confusion though, as we’ve got you covered with a look ahead to when we can tune in:
When will Coronation Street and Emmerdale be off air?
The rejigged schedules will probably allow Joel to think through his next step (Picture: ITV)
Tonight, Monday, June 17th its Australia v France rather than Dingles v Barlows. To make up for it, an hour-long instalment of Emmerdale will air tomorrow (June 18th) and will be followed by a Tuesday night trip to the cobbles.
Further disruption follows on Thursday, June 20th when Emmerdale is replaced by Spain vs Italy.
No doubt this will give Joel Deering (Calum Lill) a bit of time to consider his next move as he continues to evade justice for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
There won’t any Emmerdale on Tuesday, June 25th or any soap the following day, but it’s business as usual for the remainder of the week.
You’ll also be able tune in on ITVX from 7am each morning.

Will any other soaps be affected by Euros coverage?
Don’t worry guys, you’re fine! (Picture: BBC Studios)
Following last week’s shunting of Casualty to BBC Two, it’s back off the subs bench and onto BBC One for the second instalment of their new boxset ‘Storm Damage’.
Expect to catchup on Cam’s (Barney Walsh) dilemma in the ED as Iain dives into the deep end… literally. The storm continues to wreak havoc on the staff of Holby City.
Just like EastEnders, the show is dropped earlier in the day on the iPlayer, so you can tune in whenever you want.
Luckily, none of the other soaps, such as Hollyoaks or Neighbours, are affected.
