Will Nabi bring along his captain to Kaizer Chiefs next week?

FAR Rabat captain Mohamed Rabie Hrimat has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs where his coach Nasreddine Nabi will be at next season.

The Moroccan giants play AS FAR play local rivals Raja Casablanca in the Throne Cup final on Sunday. The final will be Nabi’s final match in charge of FAR. The coach is bringing his technical team to South Africa but rumours claim he might bring one or two players along.

FAR captain Mohamed Rabie Hrimat has been on good form this season scoring 13 goals and eight assists in 37 league games. With Kaizer Chiefs in need of top midfielders, it might not be a bad idea for Nabi to rope in his captain.

Hirmat’s agent Hicham Debhi told iDiski Times however that the 29-year-old midfielder has received offers from the Gulf region.

“We cannot decide now on offers coming from the Gulf region, only after the King’s Cup final,” he told the publication

“After the game, they will decide the future of the player. There’s one more year on his contract and there’s a lot of offers in the Gulf area.”

When asked if he was bringing along his players, the Tunisian coach brushed aside the rumours.

“As for the issue of the players, there is no truth in the news that I will bring players from ASFAR to Kaizer Chiefs.”

Nabi to arrive in Naturena within days

Amakhosi have already parted ways with the likes of Keagan Dolly, Sifiso Hlanti and Siyethemba Sithebe. If Nabi is not able to bring along his captain, he will need Kaizer Chiefs to buy quality players that can compete with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. Amakhosi finished 10th in the DStv Premiership last season and are approaching 10 years without silverware.
