Police to question ADOR official this week over alleged breach of trust

SEOUL, June 17 (Yonhap) -- Police will question one of three officials of ADOR, a sublabel of K-pop giant Hybe, this week over their alleged breach of trust centered on accusations they attempted to break away from the parent company and take girl group NewJeans with them, Seoul's police chief said Monday.
Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner Cho Ji-ho said they plan to bring in the unidentified ADOR official for questioning this week after wrapping up the investigation on the complainant side and analyzing the additional evidence.
The investigation began after Hybe filed a complaint against ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and two other management officials in April on charges of breach of trust, claiming it had secured evidence supporting its claim that the management had plotted to seize control of the label under Min's initiative.
Min has denied the allegations, saying it is impossible to seize control of the company under the current shareholder structure.
Police already questioned Hybe officials last month.
"Of the three, one is expected to be able to appear this week, whereas the summoning date for CEO Min has not been set for this week," Cho said.
Cho dismissed the prospects of a search and seizure of the sublabel, saying the company is currently cooperative in the investigation, thereby allowing it to proceed with the submission of documents and testimonies.
Late last month, a district court in Seoul granted an injunction filed by Min to stop Hybe from dismissing her as the sublabel's head, effectively keeping her in her position as a board member of Hybe.
