PICS: Irish international soccer star ties the knot with GAA royalty on the guestlist

While this weekend is all about sports for many, it was a time to put the boots to one side for Irish footballer Alan Browne, as he threw on a smart tuxedo and married his fiancée, Shauna Lyons.

The sun shone for the bride and groom as they were surrounded by their friends and family at the beautiful Powerscourt Hotel in Wicklow for their big day.

Stepping out with his partner Nathan, former Cork hurler Dónal Óg Cusack looked very smart as they posed up a storm beside the newlyweds for a picture.

Gorgeous bride Shauna went for an unusual high-neck lace gown featuring an intricate design from the neckline to the hemline. The mum-of-three wore her hair in a chic chignon, with the dainty veil protruding from her hair.

For their first dance, the guest headed outside and handed sparklers as Alan, who joined the Irish national squad in 2017, and Shauna got ready to take to the dance floor.

As they moved to Beyonce's song XO, guests waved the lights making it a magical moment for the couple.

Congratulations Alan and Shauna!
