'It's like prison' - Jacqueline Jossa talks pros and cons of school and considers homeschooling for her girls
The Eastenders star is considering homeschooling her girls
EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has sparked a debate about the current education system, suggesting it might be 'slightly outdated'.
The 31 year old actress shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories, posting a snippet from the Mel Robbins podcast that highlighted the health risks of sitting for prolonged periods of time.
The podcast, which featured Harvard Stress Doctor Dr Aditi Nerukar explaining the negative impacts of sitting still, stated: "The science shows that sitting... it's not just that exercise is good for you and moving is good for you and your stress, anxiety, and burnout. It's that sitting is actually bad for you," before elaborating on the topic.
Jacqueline, famed for her role as Lauren Branning on EastEnders, is mum to nine year old Ella and five year old Mia with husband and ex reality star Dan Osborne.
Alongside the podcast clip, she expressed her concerns: "It's so crazy that we send our kids to school to sit for hours every day. When I see things like this I always toy with homeschooling. I just feel like the school system is slightly dated now and we all learn so differently."
She added: "Obviously school is amazing and I have nothing but good positive memories and experience so it's always an argument I have in my own head all the time. Pros and cons etc. But like, school is very similar to prison. That's odd to me."
The celeb recently quashed any whispers of a split from her beau Dan, by posting an adorable message on social media. They not long ago returned from a family getaway to Dubai, where they were caught in some unexpected torrential rain and flooding, reports the Mirror.
Dan, known for his stint on ' The Only Way is Essex ', dded several snaps to Instagram of their trip, featuring his wife and kids, including his son Teddy, aged 10. Over the weekend, he captioned the photos with: "Lovely week in Dubai."
He added: "Mad we experienced that rain out there, floods were crazy, we were lucky, but hope everyone that was affected are ok." Jacqueline showed him some love in the comments, replying to his post with: "I love you. Thank you for the memories."
