Luka Doncic Gets Crucial Injury Update for NBA Finals Game 5 Vs. Celtics
Luka Doncic has performed admirably during his first NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, scoring 29 points in a game-winning effort this past Friday night in Dallas.
Doncic has been a common name on the Mavericks' injury report lately because of a thoracic contusion, a condition characterized by a bruise typically caused by a direct blow to the chest.

The Slovenian guard/forward is currently averaging 29.5 points, 8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.5 steals in a shade under 38 minutes per game during the playoffs while shooting 47 percent from the field.
The Celtics lead the NBA Finals by a tally of 3-1 after the Mavericks' 122-84 win at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Doncic currently ranks seventh in the NBA Playoffs in scoring, roughly ten spots ahead the Celtics' dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum is averaging 24.7 points per game and Brown is averaging 24.1 points per game.
Doncic fouled out of Game 3 vs. the Celtics, hurting the Mavericks' chances of pulling off a comeback. For Doncic and the Mavericks to have success in Game 5, it's going to take a team effort, and perhaps Doncic's best game considering how well the Celtics played at home in Game 1 and Game 2.
Boston is far from unbeatable at home, having lost a home game to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference First Round and a home game to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Game 5 is scheduled for Monday night at 8:30 p.m. ET in Boston.
