Motorcycle rider killed in hit-and-run crash on SW Freeway, Houston police say
Investigators said a white BMW traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the motorcycle and the driver of the car took off.
HOUSTON — A motorcycle rider was killed early Sunday in a hit-and-run crash on the Southwest Freeway, according to the Houston Police Department.
It happened just after 4 a.m. near the Bissonnet exit.
Investigators said a white BMW traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the motorcycle and the driver of the car took off.
The motorcyclist was heading inbound when the car slammed into them, sending the Harley Davidson across the freeway and onto the feeder road.
The victim died at the scene.
Police are trying to identify the driver of the BMW who left the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-247-4072.
