Steelers QB Justin Fields Struggling In Camp Per Pittsburgh Insider
The Pittsburgh Steelers turned over their entire quarterback room this offseason hoping to find some more accuracy and stability at the position. Russell Wilson and Justin Fields replaced Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph, with Wilson penciled in as the starter on opening day in September.
Wilson has certainly had his issues the past couple of seasons in Denver, but Fields' entire time in Chicago was filled with struggles. After being the Bears' first-round pick in 2021 and being tasked with being the savior of the team.

But Fields struggled in Chicago to the point where the team gave up on him after three seasons of lackluster play. Now in Pittsburgh, Fields might be already experiencing the same issues he had in Chicago per team insider Ray Fittipaldo.
"Fields, from what I've seen, they had a month of spring practices here and he's a terrific athlete, but really the knocks against him that I heard coming in actually turned out to be true," Fittipaldo said on SiriusXM radio.
"He's not terribly accurate with the ball. His placement isn't all that great, and I could see them maybe having a package or two for him each week depending on the opponent, but this is Russell Wilson's team."
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has already stated publicly that Wilson "is in the pole position" for the starting job, and with Fields' struggles already in offseason workouts, it might be Wilson's team beyond 2024 too.
