'Fun to See' Jets WR Chemistry With Rodgers in Year 2
Everything was set up for the New York Jets in Aaron Rodgers' first year with the team, and the hype and excitement was palpable. But as we know, just four snaps into Week 1, Rodgers went down with an Achilles injury, and the Jets' season went with him.
Now, with the receivers getting another offseason of work with Rodgers, who is back to being fully healthy, OTAs and minicamp has seen fireworks happen on the field.
Of course, this has been against mostly air and ghost defenders, but it is good to see the receivers and Rodgers continue to build up the chemistry that many hope will propel the Jets to new heights in 2024.

And newyorkjets.com's Ethan Greenberg's biggest minicamp takeaway is that the chemistry between Rodgers and his receivers is looking better and better.
“The Jets have a really cool blend of young and experienced talent to make a run," Greenberg writes. "WR Garrett Wilson, now in Year 3, continues to look like he's improving. To say he looked sharp in the spring practices would be an understatement. Back catching passes from Aaron Rodgers, it will be a lot of fun to see their chemistry on display especially with Wilson, and the other pass catchers, in their second year in Nathaniel Hackett's offense.”
Health is the Jets' biggest concern after last year's events, but so far, things have been going smoothly.
With Rodgers back (not in minicamp, though), there is renewed optimism that New York could fulfill the expectations from last season. Rodgers has a new receiver in Mike Williams, a better offensive line, and a one-two punch in the run game with Breece Hall and Braelon Allen in the backfield.
In addition, a stout defense led by Jeff Ulbrich gives the Jets, on paper, the tools to make a serious run at the Super Bowl.
Whether they can or not depends largely on Rodgers staying upright, but moves have been made to ensure he has good protection.
In his second year in the Big Apple, expectations are high, and with his receivers getting another offseason to build chemistry with him, maybe Rodgers is about to remind us all of his MVP talents.
