Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle release postponed: Report

The makers of 'Welcome To The Jungle' announced the film amid much fanfare, but looks like they will not be able to keep their date with fans. Latest buzz suggests that 'Welcome To The Jungle', which was supposed to hit the screens in December this year, has been postponed.

According to Hindustan Times, the team of 'Welcome To The Jungle' recently wrapped its first schedule in May in Aarey, Maharashtra. The report further stated that this was the first of many lengthy shoots with the entire cast and with VFX work waiting to start post the principal photography, the makers may not be able to release the film on December 20. Interestingly, with this shift in release, 'Welcome To The Jungle' will no longer clash with Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, which was also slated for Christmas release.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film is written by Farhad Samji. It stars Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani among others.

'Welcome', which was released in 2007, was the first film in the franchise. It was followed up with 'Welcome Back' in 2015. Both the movies were helmed by Anees Bazmee.
