According to data from the depositories, this recent inflow is a stark contrast to the net outflow of Rs 14,794 crore ($1.77 billion) from the previous week, June 3-7.

In addition to equities, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have also shown interest in the debt market, investing over Rs 5,700 crore so far this month, until June 14.
