He told crowds that he grew up an hour and a half out of Sydney, and that being able to play shows on his home soil hit a special spot this time around.
Despite occasional moments of awkwardness without his 5SOS bandmates, these instances felt refreshingly raw and genuine, endearing him even more to the audience.
The final stretch of the show featured standout tracks such as Garden Life, Shakes, and I'm Still Your Boy, before Luke returned for an encore with a passionate rendition of his hit Starting Line.
Luke will wrap the Australian leg of his Nostalgia For A Time That Never Existed tour in Brisbane on Sunday night.
