Argos now offers cheap Freeview upgrade that matches Sky TV's best features

Sky still leads the way when it comes to premium content and the best devices to watch things on but Freeview is fighting back. Users of this popular free-to-view platform are now being offered the chance to buy a new device that includes a swathe of features found on Sky Q.
The all-new set-top boxes from the team at Manhattan are finally on sale after they were first debuted late last year.
There are two to choose from including the more premium Manhattan T4•R which offers 4K UHD playback along with an internal hard disk that lets you physically record shows so you can then watch them at a later date.
If there are numerous things on at once, you can even record two shows at the same time whilst watching a third.
If the doorbell rings right in the middle of the football, it's simple to pause live TV and you get a full TV guide so you can see what's on now and next.
If you spot something you’ve missed then on-demand players will let you view things that are no longer on live channels.
Other extras include a smart remote control, easy ways to search the listings and a sleep mode which uses less energy when the box isn’t being used.
Prices for the Manhattan T4•R start from £169 with things increasing deepening on the hard disk size.

Along with the Manhattan T4•R going on sale, there's also a much cheaper box arriving in stores as well.
The more basic T4 version won't let you record but there are over 100 channels to watch via this device along with offering the option to pause live TV for up to 90 minutes.
It also gets a fast processor, a full TV guide and an easy way to view content via on-demand players.
