Coalition hardening its stand against renewables ‘madness’
Sky News host Chris Kenny says the fight over “reckless renewables” has amped up today after Opposition leader Peter Dutton confirmed the Coalition will oppose Labor’s latest offshore wind farm proposal for the Illawarra Coast of NSW.
Mr Kenny said the offshore wind farms are an “extraordinary risk” to the environment and tourism, and it’s also a massive economic and engineering risk.
“Labor, the Greens and the Teals are trying to generate a phoney scare campaign about nuclear power stations when this renewables scare is actually real, and it’s happening now,” Mr Kenny said.
“This is a disaster, and thankfully, the Coalition is hardening its stand against this madness and proposing the proven, safe, and compact option of nuclear energy because it works, and it will run on mainly existing transmission lines.
