June Squibb Talks Playing Nostalgia in 'Inside Out 2' | THR Video
You've done so many animated projects in your career. What do you like about this medium the most? I love it because the character is usually great fun to do, to be, and the old thing about you go in in your pajamas if you want to. That's always nice. You play nostalgia in the film. Is there one era of your career that you are particularly nostalgic for or that you remember really fondly? I remember moving to New York for the first time. I lived there for 65 years before I moved out here and I I just breathed easier and it was wonderful. I loved New York as a young person. What did you think when they brought you this role of nostalgia? No, I love to do these, I really do. And I love Pixar, you know, I did Toy Story and they're great and I love working with them, with their directors. Have you gotten to see the film yet or is this your first time? No, no, I've just seen the trailers that everybody else has seen, but I haven't. I saw Inside Out one, so, and I remember that very well. What was your take on that movie? Oh, I loved it. I loved it. And I went into that not knowing what I was seeing, what I was going to see, and then all at once it became a big hit, you know?
