Kate Middleton will attend Trooping The Colour after surgery recovery
Kate Middleton has confirmed that she will be attending Trooping the Colour tomorrow, Saturday June 15. In a personal message from the Princess of Wales, she says she will be attending the King's birthday parade this weekend with her family.
In March, Kate announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Speaking in a video address to the nation, she said that following recent abdominal surgery, medics had discovered that cancer had been present. She confirmed that she was undergoing 'preventative' chemotherapy.
In the short film, the Princess of Wales said: "It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I've had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful. In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.

"The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."
Kate said she would take time out from royal duties to recover. In June, she apologised for being unable to attend a previous event held earlier in June. Kate was due to take the salute at The Colonel's Review in London on Saturday, June 8. She has an honorary position as a colonel, but was unable to represent the regiment.
But now, Kate has confirmed she will be attending Trooping the Colour in honour of Prince Charles' royal birthday on Saturday. The princess has said she is making "good progress" with her health, and has been "blown away" by the kind messages she's received by well-wishers.
She has "good days and bad days", and is taking each day as it comes. Her chemotherapy sessions are continuing, but is starting to take meetings when her health allows.
A new photo has also been released, which was taken at Windsor earlier this week.
