Even after four decades as actor, I still learn a lot: Tara Anuradha
Tara Anuradha, known for the varied roles she has played on screen over a four-decade career, talks to us about her equation with young actors and working in parallel cinemas and more.
‘I am proud of the work that I have done in alternate cinema’ Constantly evolving as an actor has made me what I am today. I feel privileged to be part of completely contrasting films like Kanooru Heggadathi, Hebbet Ramakkka, Savitribai Phule, and Hassena.
‘I regret not doing OTT films’ I had gotten film offers which were meant for an OTT release but at the time I was apprehensive about taking them up. Looking back, I would have liked to act in them given how widespread OTT’s reach has proven to be.
‘I share a bond with Dhananjaya’Sharing screen space with Dhananjaya for the second time, Tara says that her Kotee co-actor fondly calls her Amma. “This is my third collaboration with Dhananajaya as I have worked in his own production Tagaru Palya. There aren’t many actors with whom I share an on-screen bond like Dhananjaya. Apart from his acting prowess, I was pleasantly surprised by his writing skills, too.
