Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of May 13

Russian forces had partial success in the northern part of the Kharkiv region, while Ukrainian soldiers eliminated nearly 100 occupiers in that direction. Additionally, invaders carried out an airstrike near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

General situation at the front

Along the entire frontline, the enemy continues to launch rocket and aerial strikes, conducting shelling with reactive multiple-launch rocket systems on our troops' positions.

Battles in the Kharkiv direction

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy continues offensive actions without cessation. As of 02:00 p.m. on May 13, 2024, they conducted 11 attacks, with 2 ongoing clashes. The enemy persists in attempts to displace Defense Forces units from their positions. Partial success was achieved in the vicinity of the settlement of Lukyantsi. The enemy's advance has been halted.

Simultaneously, the Defense Forces are executing counteroffensive actions. The enemy has carried out 8 aerial strikes in the areas of the settlements of Udy, Vovchansk, Lyptsi, Hrafske, and Vesele in the Kharkiv region.

The General Staff announced that pre-formed reserves have been relocated to strengthen forces on the Kharkiv front. Depending on the situation's development, troop reinforcement will continue. The troops are provided with the necessary amount of striking assets.

Since the beginning of the day, enemy losses on the Kharkiv front amount to 97 personnel, with 8 units of armament and military equipment lost.

Situation on other frontlines

In the Kupiansk direction, our troops repel attacks in the areas of the settlements of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Andriivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy attempted to improve tactical positions.

There have been 19 clashes in the areas of Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka, Novoihorivka, and Makiivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, there have been 8 clashes in the area of Staromaiorske, with one ongoing in the vicinity of Robotyne. An aerial strike was carried out in the Robotyne area.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the enemy persists in its intention to displace our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. There have been 2 clashes in the Krynky area, with 1 ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, there have been 27 clashes in the areas of the settlements of Hryhorivka, Novyi, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka. The enemy conducted aerial strikes in the vicinity of the settlements of Druzhba and Pivnichne.

In the Kurakhove direction, there have been 5 clashes in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka. One aerial strike was conducted in the Novomykhailivka area.

In the Vremivka direction, our defenders repelled attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vodyane, Urozhaine, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to displace our units from occupied positions.

In the Siversk direction, there have been 12 clashes in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Viyimka, and Rozdolivka.

In the Lyman direction, there was one engagement;

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions;

In the Pokrovsk direction, there were 24 clashes;

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions;

In the Volyn and Polissia direction, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no significant signs of enemy offensive formations forming.

Meanwhile, in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the Ukrainian state border.

Russian losses

At the same time, our soldiers continue active operations to inflict losses on the occupying forces in terms of personnel and equipment, wearing down the enemy along the entire frontline.

It is worth noting that the total number of losses for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 484,030 military personnel.
