The United States has allocated another military aid package to Ukraine in its war with Russia. The announced package amounts to $275 million, according to the Voice of America correspondent Ostap Yarysh.

"The US announced a new $275 million military aid package for Ukraine. It includes ammunition for HIMARS, 155mm and 105 artillery rounds, TOW-missiles, Javelin and AT-4s, precision aerial munitions, small arms + ammo, and more," Yarysh said in a post on X.

The US Department of Defense officially announced the new aid package.

"This Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) package, which is part of our efforts to help Ukraine repel Russia's assault near Kharkiv, has an estimated value of $275 million. It will provide Ukraine additional capabilities to meet its most urgent battlefield needs," the US Department of Defense's statement says.

According to the Pentagon, the military aid package includes:

・Ammunition for HIMARS;

・155mm and 105mm artillery rounds;

・60mm mortar rounds;

US assistance to Ukraine

The US began assisting Ukraine with weapons even before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion and continues to do so to this day. However, there was a significant pause in American aid to Ukraine over the winter due to funding issues.

Only at the end of April did the US Congress allocate more than $60 billion to finance US expenses related to aiding Ukraine. Nearly $14 billion of this package is intended to purchase advanced weapons systems, defense products, and defense services for Ukraine.

Additionally, in mid-May, during a visit to Kyiv, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the allocation of $2 billion to Ukraine for the purchase of weapons.
