Single entry wins entire $150 million Powerball jackpot
The $150 million Powerball jackpot has gone off tonight with 1 ticket taking the entire cash prize. Bad Heart from the Lot joins me now. Great to have you with us tonight, Matt, and also an exciting night for you. This is an historic win. It is incredible. Good evening. It is mind blowing to think that someone has won $150 million. But also the night was a little bit anticlimactic because we were here ready to reach out to any registered Division One winner. But this winning ticket that's worth $150 million is not registered to a player card or online account. So we don't know who the ticket holder is, but we know it was purchased in South Australia in Adelaide from a store there. So time to check your tickets Adelaide. I mean how long do you think we have to wait until we know who the actual winner is? And could there be multiple winners as well on this one ticket? Well that's that's the thing because it is just one ticket from our end, but it could be held by a private syndicate. Maybe some workmates or family members have pulled together to get this ticket. I suspect word has spread and is spreading wildly across Adelaide and anyone who knows anyone is calling them saying check your tickets and please do because it is. It's unregistered. I mean, this ticket could be in a wallet on the fridge door. So just looking at you and it's worth $150 million. So treat it like it's worth $150 million. I think a lot of people will be checking those tickets, that's for sure. Matt, just like me though, I'm disappointed because obviously I've missed out. But what what can we do if we've missed out on the big prize? Well, that's the thing. So while you may have already discovered you're not a Division One winner, or you weren't, you're not from SA, so you've ruled yourself out there. But do keep in mind there was more than 4.4 million prizes worth more than $89,000,000 in Divisions 2 to 9. So well worth checking, checking your ticket. There was also nine Division two winners who pocketed more than $276,000, nearly more than 1/4 of $1,000,000. So make sure you check your ticket. You can still be a bit of a winner. They'll definitely be a big celebration in Adelaide, I'm sure. All right, Matt, we'll leave it there. Thanks so much for your time tonight.
