'We can do better': Gordon insists as England finish top of group

Yeah, listen, I won't. I won't lie to you. It's frustrating because you know, I want to play. I think every player here doesn't. It's difficult 'cause you got so many good players. But but watching from the sideline at any game at any level is hard. You just, you just want to come on a pitch because you feel you can make an impact. I thought I did. When I come on, I tried to get up. People be direct and cause problems in the few minutes I got and I'll always try and do that. Yeah, I think our aim was was to make a statement and sort of correct the performance that we had in the past two games. I still think we're in that place. I think we've still got to do better. You know, luckily Frozen and Dance Hard, our hard work that we've topped the group with through, which is the most important thing, but we still need to improve. France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, all on the other side of the draw. That helps a bit, doesn't it? Surely, Yeah, that helps. In tournament football, you want to control your own journey, I think. But we're going to have to play them at some point and, you know, it doesn't matter sort of when we face them. It's not how football from now on and as long as you win, that's all that matters. I just think we can do so much better. That's the problem. We've got such good players and, you know, training so good every day. We we do have it right and then it's just not clicking. So, you know, hopefully in the coming games it will because you know, we need to start really attacking teams and dominating games.
