For the first time in 14 years, an N.B. swimmer is competing at the Olympics
Definitely a great feeling. It's been my biggest goal since I started swimming, I think when I was 9. So it's been, it's been a while. Definitely been working at it for a long time. I don't know if it's 100% settled in, but kind of being able to think that and say that out loud is definitely the best feeling. I knew for the 100 free I had to come top four and then it was pretty certain that I would get on the team. And when I touched the wall in that final, I just kind of sat there for a second. I really didn't want to look at the at the board. I really didn't want to see the result. So I kind of just sat there for a second and I was like, OK, that was a good race, I'm happy with it. And now I'm going to look at the board and then seeing that I was third, just the best feeling. Relief, happiness, gratitude, everything. All the emotions I felt, all of them. Yeah, it was great.
