Osher Günsberg is 'absolutely broken' after both The Bachelor and The Masked Singer are cancelled: 'It's show business, not show friends'

Osher Günsberg has opened up about the devastating news that both his Channel Ten shows have been cancelled.
The axing of The Bachelor and The Masked Singer Australia was announced on May 7th, and Osher, 50, was the host of show reality shows.
The TV host confirmed the news that day on 2DAY FM's Hughesy, Ed & Erin.
But on Friday, Osher gave his thoughts on losing two jobs in one day on his podcast, Better Than Yesterday.
'It's show business, not show friends... The Bachelor and The Masked Singer in Australia are not coming back on the network that they have been on this year,' he said in a monologue on the podcast.

'This week is really very funny for me because it's not the first time that I've lost two jobs in the same day. To go back to Australian Idol, when that got cancelled, I was absolutely broken,' he explained.
The former Bachelor host then went on to talk about how his mentor David got him to reframe his unemployed status at the time.
'[David] was like "I'm excited for you. This means there are bigger and better things ahead for you,"' Osher recalled.

The news comes just days after a report by TV Tonight revealed producers Warner Bros TV have quietly been 'gauging interest from rival networks' for The Masked Singer.
The singing guessing game, which was hosted by Osher, is understood to be expensive to produce due to the elaborate costumes, high production quality and international talent required to put on the show.
This, coupled with a tough advertising market, has reportedly brought the viability of the franchise into question for Ten.
Further, The Bachelors and its various spinoffs - also hosted by Günsberg - have not been given dates for 2024 despite being announced at the annual Upfronts.
When contacted by Daily Mail Australia for comment, a spokesperson for Ten said: 'We are currently confirming our program schedule for the second half of the year, with announcements being made soon.'
