FOUR Cagayan State University (CSU) students have secured a residency program at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Biology students Trixie Joy Gano and Niña Katrina Matammu, Computer Science major Jarren Quegan, and Communication student Jianel Alfaro will present at the Asian Undergraduate Symposium, a two-week residency program from July 1 to 13, 2024, at NUS.
CLSU Office in Charge President Arthur Ibañez commended the students for their successful application and met with them for a courtesy meeting on May 9.
Ibañez told students about the importance of respecting their own culture and the culture of other countries. He also acknowledged their dedication to representing and showcasing the ideals and culture of the university and the Philippines.
NUS will shoulder accommodation and most meals of the participants, according to a briefing meeting attended by Domestic and International Partnership Director Kristinne Lara and Vice President for Internationalization, Partnership and Resource Mobilization (IPRM) Giged Battung.
The students will only need to arrange their own return airfare and transfers, visa, travel, and some meals.
CSU said this achievement bears a strong manifestation of the university's commitment to nurturing academic excellence through the office of the IPRM.
