LTO gets youngest executive director
MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has welcomed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s appointment of 35-year-old lawyer Gregorio Pua Jr., the youngest executive director in the agency’s history.
LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II said in a statement on Saturday that Pua’s experience in working with various private and government entities, including as LTO’s chief legal consultant, will be a big help in pushing for the implementation of the agency’s projects and reform programs.

“The number of our youth clients have been increasing exponentially. We need fresh ideas in the changing landscape of government service. Executive Director Pua will bring in the youth idealism and vigor in the top level positions in the LTO,” Mendoza said.
Pua, the son of San Mateo, Isabela Mayor Gregorio Pua, took up his legal management and Bachelor of Laws degrees at San Beda University.
He held various positions in several law offices and was also a consistent legal consultant of transport groups before he entered the LTO. Pua replaced Francis Almora, who will return as the director of the Law Enforcement Service. —Jerome Aning
