NCAA Tournament Star DJ Burns Turns Heads With New Look Before NBA Draft
DJ Burns was the star of NC State's NCAA Tournament run back in March. He was the 2024 ACC Tournament MVP and helped the Wolfpack reach the Final Four for the first time since 1983.
Burns attended Winthrop University for his first three college seasons before transferring to North Carolina State. In his final season, Burns averaged 12.9 points, four rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
Now, Burns is looking to move on to the NBA. But he had one glaring issue that many scouts didn't like: his weight. Burns weighed 275 pounds and stood only 6'9.
On Wednesday, Shams Charania reported that Burns has lost 45 pounds in preparation for the 2024 NBA Draft.

"DJ Burns told me he has lost 45 pounds in the last six and a half weeks...He told me no Ozempic; he said he's been doing workouts 4 days a week, at 5 AM," Charania said.
A photo of Burns before and after his transformation was posted on social media by NBA Central.
