Phil Foden has revealed England's coaches led by Gareth Southgate have overhauled training sessions in the build-up to their final group game at Euro 2024.

The Three Lions are attempting to bounce-back from a disappointing 1-1 draw against Denmark last time out that saw them spurn the chance to secure qualification to the next round of the competition.

England are expected to qualify from their group when they take on Slovenia, but Foden insisted no chances are being taken as England look to make good on their pre-tournament status as favourites.

Two lacklustre opening games in Germany have highlighted England's problems, with the balance in midfield proving to a be a headache for Southgate to sort, with training sessions now being made more intense as a result.

Foden has struggled in the national team and has so far underwhelmed compared to his star performances at Man City last season that helped them win a fourth consecutive Premier League title.

The 24-year-old explained changes have been made to England's training regime in the wake of their draw against Denmark

The 24-year-old has looked uncomfortable out of position on the left-wing compared to the more central role he plays at club level and has claimed underperforming stars 'expect more' from themselves.

Speaking to FA show Lions' Den, Foden said: 'I feel like the intensity (of training) has gone up a little bit.

'We've had a good start, we're on four points, but we expect more from ourselves.

'I look around and the characters we have, we always expect more from ourselves. Training has gone up going into this game.'

England are blessed with a plethora of superstars in their squad, including recent Champions League winner Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich star striker Harry Kane amongst them.

Team captain Kane admitted the team have underperformed, stating at a recent press conference: 'Before the tournament, if you'd said, where we are now, that we would have pretty much qualified after two games, we would have taken it,' he added.

'We can be honest with ourselves that we haven't played the way we wanted to play.  The good sign is that we've still picked up results while doing that.'
