Kaizer Chiefs set to give Arthur Zwane HUGE new role at the club!
Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane is reportedly being earmarked for a big role at the club.
Zwane has been at Chiefs for over two decades serving in many different playing and coaching roles.
Zwane a long-serving figure at Chiefs
A club legend, Zwane was a long-serving player at Chiefs, joining after a tug-of-war with Orlando Pirates in 2000. His playing career on the wing would last for 10 years at Amakhosi. He was then quickly recycled into their development structures, working his way up the ranks through different age groups. He would gain prominence after his exploits with the DStv Diski Challenge side.
Players such as Siyabonga Ngezana, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Sabelo Radebe coming through his hands. He served as assistant coach to several coaches, before being appointed head coach of Chiefs ahead of the 2022/23 season. After an eight place finish, he was swiftly replaced by Molefi Ntseki. Since then, there has not been much clarity on the role of Zwane at the club.
Now according to Soccer-Laduma, he is in line to replace Cavin Johnson as Chiefs’ Head of Youth Development.

“Having served in a number of vocations at the club like the DStv Diski Challenge Head coach, First team assistant coach and the Brst team head coach, Arthur Zwane is the man touted to take over Johnson’s role. There has been a lot of uncertainty regarding Zwane’s role at Chiefs, with the club merely stating that he would be returning to ‘his previous role’ though it is uncertain which role that is. Zwane has been hard at work, acquiring his necessary coaching badges, and is on the brink of obtaining his UEFA B license through the Irish FA. He has been a part of part of the club for over 22 years, stretching back to his time as a player.” Wrote the publication.
It remains to be seen if Zwane does make that step up or Chiefs end up going for somebody else.
