Meanwhile, several of the residents of nearby Roscoe and Red Hook reported damages from the sudden weather event amid a thunderstorm watch in New York.
"First tornado I’ve ever had in New York. Scary but it could have been worse!," a resident of Red Hook village wrote on Facebook while sharing pictures and videos of the reported damage. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service (NWS) has launched an investigation into what has been described as a possible tornado touchdown in the area.
