Multi-day storm risk in the Prairies this week
Well, an active storm pattern setting up for us this week across the pers with the risk of storms every day thanks to the high pressure center in the Pacific with the Ridge building into BC forcing the storms into the region. You can see the thunderstorm risk for us for today quite widespread. The potential for some stronger storms across southern Alberta and then that line extending from northern Alberta down through Saskatchewan. For us heading into our Wednesday, that risk shifts slightly forced, but still around southern Alberta to the north as well and into Sask and Manitoba. And you can see even as we look toward the second-half of this work week into Thursday and Friday. Will get atmospheric energy sufficient to bring us the risk for those thunderstorms this week. So immediately for us for today, we've got some showers to the north. The risk for those storms as well, you can see heading into the Interlake region in Manitoba through the afternoon and watching for some of those popping up as we head through our Tuesday afternoon and evening across southern Alberta and through Saskatchewan as well. So of course, with thunderstorms, the risk will be widespread for us, but not everyone will get into that risk. But certainly as we head into Wednesday, once again, we'll see the risk for storms. Right across the board.
