Nico Schlotterbeck reacts as Germany beats Denmark, 2-0, in UEFA EURO 2024
Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck rose to the occasion as he replaced the suspended Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen for Germany in their 2-0 win against Denmark. His brilliant pass, a reminder of his ability and seemingly a throwback to Mats Hummels’ days in the national side, set up Jamal Musiala for Germany’s second goal.
This is what he had to say according to @iMiaSanMia:
Here is Schlotterbeck’s quote in full: “I think we played a great game. The atmosphere in the stadium was amazing. I’m really happy for the team, they deserve it for their hard work. I’m really pleased that we made it to the quarter-finals. I haven’t had the most fortunate performances in my DFB career so far, so I’m really happy that we kept a clean sheet today. We defended well and rewarded ourselves with the two goals.”
Will Schlotterbeck keep his starting position against Spain or Georgia in the quarterfinals?
