Man dies after Lamborghini goes up in flames
The Lamborghini was destroyed by the fire, according to Pahang fire and rescue department operations commander Ismail Abdul Ghani.
PETALING JAYA: A man died after the Lamborghini he was driving caught fire in an accident at Km57.1 Jalan Bentong-Karak, heading east, today.
Pahang fire and rescue department operations commander Ismail Abdul Ghani said they received an emergency call at 9.06am, Sinar Harian reported.
He said eight personnel from the Bentong fire station, along with two fire engines, were dispatched to the scene 26km away.
“There was a fire involving a Lamborghini that had crashed. By the time our personnel arrived, the car had been destroyed by the fire.
“The man at the wheel of the car was trapped inside but passersby had earlier rescued a woman passenger and sent her to hospital,” he was quoted as saying.
The driver was confirmed dead by the medical team from the health ministry.
“We’ll hand over the matter to the police for further action,” he said.
