Vijay asks students to stay away from drugs!
Actor and Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam leader Vijay held a meet and greet session yesterday in Chennai where he met the students who topped their 10th and 12th public examination. The actor urged the students to refrain from taking drugs and even made them take a pledge that worded, "Say no to temporary pleasure, Say no to drugs."
The actor congratulated the students and offered them a memento after his speech. In his speech, he addressed his concern over the rampant consumption of drugs. He asked the students not to fall prey to the herd mentality and even advised them to follow their passion and give 100 percent dedication to achieve success.
His recent entry into politics has interested a lot of youngsters and the actor also noted that students should get trained with skills and asked them to be actively involved in politics. Vijay was last seen in the film 'Leo' and he is currently shooting for his film 'GOAT' aka 'Greatest of All Time'. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film is a science fiction action drama and it features Vijay, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Sneha, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Ajmal, Jayaram, Parvathi Nair, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav and Premji. The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and it is set for its release in theatres on September 5.
It is suspected that 'GOAT' will be the last film in Vijay's acting career as he has announced his retirement from the entertainment industry. The actor will be turning into a full time politician and will be contesting the 2026 Tamil Nadu state assembly elections.
