Why can't I afford a house?
23 years old, I'm a Barber clothing brand owner, make a good wage. So what does it feel impossible to buy a house? Not only am I cutting in the shop 5-6 days a week, I'll go out on the weekends to help educate other barbers. So when I'm not educating or cutting hair on the weekend I work on my clothing brand. I'm working in my spare time. I'm still not able to fund a deposit for a house and get accepted on a mortgage for me. I wish the government would invest more time into helping the youth like myself build our futures and get ourselves into houses as we do work very hard. It's just the cost of living and the support there is pretty much non existent. Feel like in a job like this, being a Barber, we speak to the public quite a lot and there's a lot of young people, a lot of my clients that feel the exact same way. So surely we should be entitled to some support. I hope this election will focus on helping the youth and helping people like myself get into properties and help build ourselves a future. So in 10 years time, 20 years time, we're comfortable and we haven't got to worry about the cost of living.
