Two people rescued after hot air balloon crashed into power lines
Two people have been rescued from a hot air balloon that became entangled in active power lines in rural NSW.
The hot air balloon struck active power lines above Sturt Highway near Buronga, in southern NSW, early on Sunday morning.
NSW Fire and Rescue were called to the scene alongside Rural Fire Service and NSW Ambulance crews, who participated in a multi-agency rescue.
The first responders isolated the powerlines with the help of the electrical provider before the two passengers were safely removed from the hot air balloon basket.
It is not yet clear whether anyone was injured in the incident.
