A video has resurfaced showing Tottenham's expected new recruit Archie Gray starring against Chelsea as Leeds fans bemoaned the talent being set to leave the club.

Spurs are finalising an agreement with Leeds that will see 18-year-old Gray join Ange Postecoglou's side in a deal which will be worth around £30million plus defender Joe Rodon going the other way in a separate move worth £10m.

Tottenham opened talks for Gray on Sunday after Leeds rejected a £35m offer from Brentford because of the payment structure.

The youngster was set to have his medical at the Bees on Saturday evening but is now in-line to join Tottenham after talks were accelerated with the Premier League club.

Leeds need to reduce their budget as they prepare for another season in the Championship after being beaten by Southampton in the play-off final.

Now a video has resurfaced showing Gray dictating the game against Chelsea in a previous FA Cup fifth-round clash at Stamford Bridge.

The talented playmaker played 90 minutes of the encounter and looked comfortable up against Premier League opposition despite Leeds eventually losing the game.

It was one of the rare games where Gray was permitted to play in his natural position after largely being used in an emergency right-back role

Clips of his performances show the teenager linking up play with passes through the lines and evading challenges as Leeds sought to pull off a major cup upset.

The composed performance earned plenty of plaudits at the time as Leeds lost 3-2 and Spurs fans have raved over what's to come from the Leeds prodigy.

Posting on X in response to the video, one fan said: 'He manhandled them. Imagine how good he will be in 3-4 years.'

Former Everton and Crystal Palace winger Yanick Bolasie similarly added: 'The talent is mad, he’s gonna be special…good brother aswell.'

'Honestly this kid is going places' said another post raving about Gray's potential.
