Lupita Nyong'o says appeal of 'Quiet Place' is being forced to be quiet in a world that seldom is
I think people are drawn to the spectacle of being forced to be quiet in a world that is never or seldom quiet. And to have an apocalyptic film where the danger is sound is fresh, it's new, and it's exciting to be in a room full of people and share in a silence that feels so loaded. And then to have that joint release in those moments when the film allows you to release, I think we crave that kind of, yeah, communal experience.
