SEOUL, June 28 (Yonhap) -- BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS, has once again denied any connection between the globally renowned boy band and the organization Danworld.
The agency also dismissed rumors of illegal marketing practices, such as chart manipulation, and announced plans for strong legal action.
On the 28th, BigHit Music made a statement on the fan community platform Weverse, clarifying, "We want to make it clear once again that there is no connection or contact between BTS and Danworld. The rumors suggesting that BTS's lyrics or any other aspects are related to Danworld are completely false."
The agency further stated, "Allegations of illegal marketing activities, including chart manipulation, are untrue and have no connection whatsoever to our artists."
BigHit Music explained that after becoming aware of Danworld's unauthorized use of BTS's intellectual property (IP), they immediately requested the removal of the material, which was promptly addressed. Danworld also pledged to prevent any recurrence. The agency emphasized, "If similar issues arise in the future, we plan to take strong legal action."
Additionally, BigHit Music announced their commitment to taking legal action against malicious posts and personal information breaches targeting BTS. They are currently pursuing civil and criminal lawsuits against entities such as the YouTube channel "Talduksuyongso" and other so-called "cyber wreckers."
The agency also assured fans that legal measures will continue uninterrupted during the members' mandatory military service periods, stating, "We will take strict and severe action against the perpetrators without any settlement or leniency."
