Met Éireann forecasts mixed first day of July with temperatures up to 19C
This week will see changeable weather, with temperatures set to be below normal for early July, Met Éireann has said.
Today will bring mostly cloudy conditions this morning, with outbreaks of rain, drizzle, possible patchy mist and fog.
It will gradually clear eastwards this afternoon, allowing bright spells and sunny intervals to develop.
Meanwhile, a few patches of drizzle and mist will persist in the southeast of the country until this evening.
Temperatures will range between 14 and 19 degrees as the south and the southeast will enjoy the warmest weather.
Tonight will be mostly dry with variable cloudy conditions and clear spells. It will be generally cloudier in the north and northwest with a few showers.
Temperatures will drop to 7 and 10 degrees as the cloud will increase from the west towards the morning.
Tomorrow will be mainly cloudy, with occasional rain and drizzle.
The best of any bright or sunny intervals will be over the southern half of the country while more persistent rain will develop in the west by nightfall.
Temperatures will range between 14 and 19 degrees as it will be the coolest in the northwest.
Tuesday night may remain mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading eastwards to all areas, with the winds turning fresh to strong in the coastal areas.
Patchy mist and fog are likely on the hills and coasts as temperatures are set to drop to 10 and 12 degrees.
This week will see mixed, changeable weather with spells of rain or showers interspaced with drier and brighter periods. It will be windy at times, especially on Wednesday and Thursday.
Temperatures are set to be below normal for early July, particularly in the northwest.
