Former State treasurer Ben Wyatt must have got used to a week being a long time back when he was in politics, considering he is selling his Nedlands home only two years after buying it.
The first two years at a new home feels like the honeymoon stage for most buyers, but Wyatt is already set to move on, seeking offers on the four-bedroom home he bought for $3.69 million home in May 2022.
It is a surprising move given it took him a year to find the home after an exhaustive search across Perth.
House That! does not know if he, wife Vivianne and their children are preparing to move on to bigger and better things, or seeking to downsize from the four-bedroom property.

Wyatt quipped self-deprecatingly when he bought the house in 2022 that he had a well-worn practice of buying at the precise moment the property cycle peaked, just before prices started to decline. Depending on when he buys next, he may well remain in that unfortunate pattern.

Commentary out this weak suggests the rate of Perth’s property price growth has peaked, with prices expected to continue rising over the next year, albeit at a slower pace than in the last 12 months. PropTrack expects increases of 8 per cent to 11 per cent.
The Nedlands property signalled a big step up the property ladder for the Wyatt family, who previously spent 15 years at a three bedroom strata-titled house in Vic Park.

The home, selling through real estate agent John Hunter, is a bespoke Zorzi residence with 360sqm of living space across three levels, with luxuries including a wine lounge and underfloor heating.
The 709sqm block makes the most of the outdoors, with an outdoor kitchen and shower, set alongside a solar-heated pool.
Renowned for his work ethic, he spent most days in the property’s impressive office.
