Chinese-owned Italian brand Moto Morini is one of the newest bikemakers to take on America. The brand set foot here last year, with two capable bikes: the Seiemmezzo scrambler and X-Cape ADV. Now, for its 2025 onslaught, the company has launched perhaps its most important product for our shares, the Calibro 650. To jog your memory, this is a middleweight cruiser first revealed in October 2023, followed by its presentation at the AIMExpo a few months ago. Here’s all you need to know about it.

The Calibro is a handsome cruiser. You get a round LED projector headlight up top, housed into a sporty fairing with a tinted windscreen. Retro-looking gaiters and a curvy further up the cruiser flavor at the front. Moving rearward, you get a curvy fuel tank that blends right into the saddle. Sharp plastics and a minimalistic tail lamp round off the likable silhouette.
You’d also appreciate the attention to detail here. This includes:
- Dual-tone (silver and black) alloy wheels
- Massive radiator shrouds
- Silver accents (on the engine head, fuel injector cover, subframe)
- LED lights
- Round instrument cluster
Think you need more big bike appeal? Enter the Calibro 650 Bagger. As the name suggests, it serves as the variant for the touring fanatics out there. This is made evident by the presence of a large batwing fairing and two hard saddlebags. The latter is lockable and waterproof to keep your essentials safe.
A 649cc, Twin-Cylinder Engine Powers The Moto Morini Calibro
Moto Morini
Parallel-twin engines are all the riot in the 500-650cc cruiser category. And the Calibro follows the norm with its 649cc, twin-cylinder powerhouse. While the exact figure is TBA, we know the engine produces 60 horsepower and 40 pound-feet on the X-Cape and Seiemmezzo. That output is the same as the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 while being considerably more than the Royal Enfield Super Meteor and Shotgun 650. A belt-driven six-speed transmission helps the power reach the wheel, meanwhile.
As for underpinnings, Moto Morini has deployed a double-cradle steel chassis, partnered with a steel swingarm. A set of 41 mm telescopic forks and dual rear shocks help iron out the bumps, working in tandem with 18/16-inch alloy wheels. Braking is via single disc brakes at each end, both having Bosch 9.1 ABS for extra safety. There’s no other rider aid at your helm besides this.
Prices Start From Just $5,999

If all that doesn’t convince you to take the Calibro home, its price certainly will. Starting at just $5,999, the Calibro undercuts all of its rivals by a significant chunk. It’s $900 less than the Shotgun 650, $1,000 less than the Super Meteor, and $1,350 lower than the Vulcan S. Heck, the MSRP even undercuts the Rebel 500 and Eliminator 450. All this while, the Bagger variant sells for $6,799–the cheapest bagger you can buy in America!
