How to make DIY stain remover at home that 'works like magic'

You may shy away from wearing white because you're worried about stains - but panic no more, because there's a simple concoction that will banish pesky spills from your beloved clothes.
Your heart sinks when you drop something on your best white t-shirt, and you'll be left wondering why you even bothered to wear it because you've been so clumsy. But according to TikTok user @creative_explained, you only need to ensure you've got four ingredients in your cupboard at all times - as well as a bit of water - that work a treat to remove stains when mixed together.
His video explaining the trick has amassed more than 34,000 likes, and people were gobsmacked that the concoction really removed stains when rubbed on with a toothbrush.
The video encouraged people to "mix baking soda, with some lemon juice, add some white vinegar, a little bit of dish soap, and some water".
"You can remove any stains from your clothes," the cleaning guru explained, sharing that you can "brush the stain away" with a bit of the mixture on a toothbrush as it's "safe [and] natural" with "no toxic chemicals". He even referred to it as working like "magic", and showed that the stain was gone by the time he'd rubbed it enough.
If you don't have these ingredients in your cupboard already, don't fret, because they can be purchased cheaply individually - and they're more eco-friendly than their chemical alternatives.
Baking soda can be purchased for £1.79 from The Range, or £3.70 from Amazon. Lemons can be purchased from Asda for 17p each, or 35p each from Ocado. White vinegar can also be found cheaply in Tesco for 35p, and washing-up liquid can be bought from Asda for 69p.
In the comments of the clip, one said: "I use this as my regular kitchen cleaner." Another added: "I use this for scrubbing my stains too - crazy". "It really does work, I tried it," someone else praised.
