Commanders' McLaurin Finishes Ahead of Elite Names in Latest WR Rankings
Every NFL player is striving for one thing in their career (Super Bowl wins aside) and that's consistency, something that Washington Commanders' receiver Terry McLaurin has in spades.
In his five seasons in the NFL, McLaurin has had 1,000+ yards in each of his last four, and that's in a Commanders offense that has been below-par since he was drafted in 2019 and has had a constant quarterback carousel going on as well.
Despite all of his franchise's struggles, McLaurin remains the one constant. Fans know what they're going to get, and Terry delivers more often than not, but not everyone sees him for what he is—a beacon of consistency.

Some might be just waking up to it now. CBS Sports, which released its rankings of the top-20 receivers in the league, has McLaurin making the list, coming in at No. 15, above Cooper Kupp (16), Deebo Samuel (17), DeVonta Smith (18), Nico Collins (19) and Amari Cooper (20).
"McLaurin may be the most underrated wide receiver in the NFL," CBS Sports writes. "He is one of just six players to record 900+ receptions in each of his first five seasons, joining Hall of Fame talents such as Mike Evans, A.J. Green, Randy Moss and Jerry Rice, and he's accomplished this with historic quarterback turnover. The Ohio State product has crossed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last four seasons, and already ranks eighth in franchise history in receiving yards. If Jayden Daniels turns out to be a star quarterback, don't be shocked if McLaurin explodes in 2024."
McLaurin has been putting up consistent numbers with below-par quarterback play over the last couple of seasons, but now that he has Jayden Daniels at the wheel of the offense, he could see his numbers skyrocket in Kliff Kingsbury's system.
Washington upgraded the offensive line and the running back room, so there are a host of ways Daniels can distribute the ball and McLaurin could see favorable matchups.
McLaurin has never had 90+ receptions or 1,200 yards, and if Daniels becomes the quarterback, many think there is every chance that "Scary Terry" could hit those marks in 2024.
An underrated receiver no more.
