Met Éireann forecasts mixed weekend ahead – but temperatures to reach 20C
There will be a mix of sunny spells and rain over the weekend, with temperatures reaching highs of 20C, Met Éireann has said.
Thursday will begin with blustery outbreaks of rain that will extend across the country. However, the south will see drier conditions where the best of the sunny spells will be.
Daytime temperatures will be between 17C and 19C while overnight it will fall to between 8C and 11C when there will be mostly clear spells.
Tomorrow, there will be sun and some well scattered showers, according to Met Éireann. The rain will become more widespread in Connacht and Munster in the evening.
Temperatures on Friday will be between 14C and 19C. Overnight it will be cloudy with scattered showers and temperatures will be between 7C and 13C.
While Saturday will start out damp with rain and drizzle, the wet conditions will clear through the morning and sunny spells will develop in the northern half of the country.
Daytime temperatures are expected to be between 15C and 19C while overnight it will fall to between 6C and 9C.
Some areas will see rain on Sunday, mainly in Ulster, though areas in the south and east will experience some sunny spells.
Temperatures on Sunday will be between 13C and 20C. Overnight, it will be mild and temperatures will fall to 11C or 12C.
Next week will begin with weather much like what is forecast for the weekend, with a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. It will be windy too with temperatures between 13C and 20C.
