Coalition left Australia ‘with a trillion dollars of debt’
Assistant Trade Minister Tim Ayres has criticised the previous Coalition government for leaving Australia “with a trillion dollars of debt”.
Australia’s inflation rate rose from 3.6 per cent to 4 per cent in May.
Markets are now predicting a 67 per cent chance of a rate hike in August.
“Our political opponents, who have opposed every measure that the government’s announced, could never deliver a surplus,” Mr Ayers told Sky News Australia.
