Prince Louis' Showstopping Moments Praised by Sharon Osbourne
Prince William and Princess Kate's youngest son, Prince Louis, is a "real little boy" whose showstealing antics at the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London this month were "divine," according to reality TV veteran Sharon Osbourne.
The 6-year-old Louis and his siblings—Prince George and Princess Charlotte—made their first public appearance of 2024 at the celebrations, which mark King Charles III's official birthday each June.
The children stepped out of the public eye at the beginning of the year as their mother, Kate, experienced health issues, culminating in her cancer diagnosis and treatment. The princess also made her ceremonial debut of the year to attend the celebrations, after issuing a positive update about her health and recovery.
Louis has become a fan favorite among royal watchers for his cheeky antics on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in London and during official ceremonies; and two of his supporters are Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Kelly.
On a new episode of The Osbournes Podcast, which Sharon and Kelly co-host with rock-star husband Ozzy Osbourne and son Jack Osbourne, the family discussed Kate's return to public life and Louis' appearance.
"I was so happy to see baby Louis," Sharon said. "Isn't he divine? Have you seen him, Jack, make his faces? He stretches his mouth, he puts his tongue out, and when they do the flyovers, he's all like this... "
The prince's facial expressions on the palace balcony during military flypasts at a succession of Trooping the Colour events have gone viral over the years. The 2022 celebrations saw Louis animatedly chatting with great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II before covering his ears and yelling at the roar of the plane engines overhead.
"He's a real little boy, you know," Sharon said. "He's always making kooky faces and dancing and everything."
"He steals the show," Kelly added, before observing that "it's just nice to see that somebody in that situation can be a normal little boy."

Louis celebrated his sixth birthday on April 23, and the day was marked with the release of a new portrait of the prince, taken by his mother in the grounds of Windsor Castle, Berkshire. The photo shows the Wales family's youngest member smiling while laying on a blanket spread out in a field.
The prince is fourth in the line of succession to inherit the British throne and has been seen more prominently at events since his grandfather King Charles' accession in 2022.
In addition to Trooping the Colour, Louis attended the "Together at Christmas" carol concert at Westminster Abbey in London for the first time in December 2023. He was also present at King Charles and Queen Camilla's coronation at the abbey in May 2023.
