Russian forces, backed by armored vehicles, attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Kharkiv region. The enemy attack was repelled, with skirmishes ongoing, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"Around 5 AM, there was an attempt by the enemy to break through our defense line under the cover of armored vehicles," the statement said.

The Ministry of Defense says that the Russian attack was repelled, with skirmishes of varying intensity ongoing.

"To fortify defense in this sector of the front, reserve units have been deployed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to repel the enemy's advance," the ministry added.
